Hennepin County partners with local organizations on the NOverdose campaign to reduce overdose deaths from opioids. Opioid painkillers and heroin killed 144 people in Hennepin County, alone, in 2016. In response to the growing number of deaths and the public health and community crisis, Hennepin County has brought partners together to form NOverdose. Hennepin County was one of the first counties in Minnesota to supply law enforcement officers with Naloxone.
